The joy is in the natural beauty
It's hard to pick a single country that I would say is the most beautiful. However, Norway is on the short list for most the beautiful country I've ever seen. Norway offers fresh air, mountains, waterfalls, and stunning fjords.
Even as I enjoyed a beer one evening, I couldn't stop staring out at the water and across the harbor at the beautiful multi-colored buildings.
Norway is expensive AF. The city is ok but nothing spectacular and the same can be said about the food. And yet, I loved my time in Norway. I went on long walks, long train rides and long boat rides. One of the happiest moments of my life took place on a boat ride through the fjords. The sky was so blue and spotted with pure white fluffy clouds. And the cliffs shot up with such intensity and peppered with waterfalls along the way. It was a cold day, but the fresh air felt good on my skin. At the risk of sounding a little over the top, it was the closest I had felt to a spiritual awakening. It was majestic and something I'll never forget. The joy of Norway is in the natural beauty.
