Eating and Drinking on Roatan
I wouldn’t put Roatan on the map for a grand food tour, but this little island knows how to keep your belly full and whistle wet. Check out my favorite spots for breakfast, dinner and of course a sunset drink.
Cannibal Cafe
This restaurant is located in the West End, among the shops. Easy, casual, and not expensive. Be sure to order the chips and guacamole and believe it or not the chips were the best part of that combo. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or just beers and chips after the beach. I came here twice, just for the chips!
Bean Crazy
I have to give this cafe a shoutout because I had breakfast here every morning. If you stay at Mr Toucan, breakfast at Bean is included with your stay. This little cafe has great options with local favorites or traditional American breakfasts. The watermelon juice was spot on.
Creole’s Rotisserie Chicken
The bad news is that I never got to have the famous rotisserie chicken because they run out early, but the good news is that the other food is still great! It kind of reminded me of the picnic tables set up next to a camper, but that doesn’t stop the locals and the visitors from lining up to get in.
Sundowners
This is the spot for happy hour. Swing through with your sandy bum and salty hair and enjoy a cold Barena on the water. Some nights they bring in live music and the party goes late into the evening.
