Santorini
Crowded? Yes. Worth it? Yes.
Santorini brings charm and sights like you've never experienced. We were there in September, which helped us avoid the major masses. Walking through the paths during peak season would probably result in a less joyful experience.
Oia-You can’t come to Santorini without walking through Oia. Even if you can't stay in the hillside hotels with the perfect blue pools, it's a great thing to see. Find an open air restaurant and enjoy the view.
Santo wines- Santorini has multiple options for wine tasting, and all of them are great. Santo Wine has something extra great. Check out this view.
Santorini cable car- For short money you can take the cable car from the town of Thera down to the old port. Hike back up the donkey trail for exercise.
Atlantis Book - A must-see bookstore that includes a creative cave dwelling and a terrace rooftop. The story behind the bookstore is pretty interesting and can be read in this Vanity Fair article. It may even inspire you to find your own way to start a business and stick around in Santorini
Santorini sunset- Santorini really knows how to put on a good show at sunset. I was on the tender on the way back to our ship as the sun was setting. The timing was perfect. There's nothing like a sunset on the water.
